My approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy attempts to work with the whole person, responding to the needs and uniqueness of each client, without being over directed or limited by a specific technique or theoretical approach.  While technique is important, the outcome of therapy is ultimately dependant on the client - therapist relationship and on the therapeutic environment.

I always endeavour to provide a safe and non-judgemental space where my client and I will work together to explore my client's process in order to make sense of my client's personal narrative in this empathic and supportive environment.

My training includes Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Biological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, theoretical perspectives from Gestalt Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Attachment, Trauma Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Polyvagal, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), The Neuro Affective Relational Model for Healing Attachment, and Understanding & Working with Complex Developmental Trauma & Dissociation in addition to Internal Family Systems.

I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP), and I adhere, fully, to their Code of Ethics.
